What is health? and why is knowing the answer to this question important?

Well for one thing, if you are clear about what health looks like you are far more likely to enjoy it!   You can’t be told that what you are doing will make you healthy if it truly doesn’t.  You will notice!   So let’s think for a minute about what health actually is.  Lets look at the dictionary definition of health. I used Merriam Webster’s online dictionary.   According to MW health specifically means “the condition of being sound in body, mind, or spirit” or “especially : freedom from physical disease or pain”  or  the general condition of the body” or a condition in which someone or something is thriving or doing well : well-being.   So if I tell you that I will give you something to  help you stay healthy and your condition worsens  after I give you my potion if you are clear about what health is then you should begin to get a bit suspicious of me.  The millennial generation born between 1981 and 1996 and who were 21 to 36 years old in 2017 saw a sharp rise in chronic illness compared to the previous generation.   Why?  What are we doing that is causing younger onset chronic illness?  I have a few questions for you to ponder.  Does our culture support health?  When you look at how you spend your day and what you take into your body do they support you being of sound body, mind and spirit?  Do your actions support you being in a state of well-being? If they don’t  Set a goal, and make changes.  I believe that pretty much any  thing can be cured.  The magic question is how?   It certainly can’t hurt to begin to ask those questions.
